Har Ki Dun Trek

The Valley of Gods: A Journey Through Time and Nature

Overview :

The name “Har-ki-Dun” literally translates to “the valley of God,” and that’s exactly what it is. It is located in the Uttarkashi district, at an elevation of 3,566 metres, near the foot of Fateh Parbat, where it is tucked away in the far north-western corner of Garhwal, next to the watershed that separates the Sutlej and Yamuna rivers. This valley, which is in the form of a cradle and is located south-east of the Jamundhar Glacier, is flanked on three sides by glistening peaks on the north-west side and by thick forests of pine, deodar, and other coniferous trees on the south-east side. Bird watchers and others who just like nature will find this woodland to be a veritable paradise due to its abundance of animals. The towering colossus of Swargarohini, which stands at 6096 metres, preside over the valley. The trail travels along the side of the Supin River, affording hikers a breathtaking vista of the Supin Valley and the Fateh Parbat mountain range in the distance.
